Have you ever wanted to try your hand at growing a spring cutting garden but weren't quite sure where to start? Join Lyndsey Boekenkamp - College Park florist, urban flower farmer and green thumb behind Secret Garden Guru - for a special, hands on seed-starting workshop! Participants will learn about the basics of seed sowing (including timing, materials and care), and tips for harvesting and enjoying your flower bounty all season long. Lyndsey will share more information on specific types of flowers that thrive in/can take the heat and humidity of Orlando's zone 9b climate, and walk the group through sowing their own seeds to take home, nurture and plant in their outdoor spaces.

Lyndsey is passionate about small-space gardening, and believes with a little creativity, everyone can grow a garden. This event will be beginner friendly, though all levels of experience are welcome! Participants should bring a notebook, pen and gloves (if they have them). Space will be limited due to social distancing; masks will be required. For questions, email Lyndsey directly at
